MissionSales Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the total refractory management and service contract at customer sites. This position will drive customer satisfaction through good service, opportune use of innovative technology, management of operating expenditures, understanding the customer’s needs and good communication at all levels including Headquarter technical support & business dialogues. In addition to customer satisfaction, the position will be responsible for generating growth for Calderys China.This position is responsible for leading and supporting customer facing activities in China. The day to day objective is to carry out direct and indirect commercial activities, so as to maintain and grow the profitable sales of the multiple product lines in Calderys. These objectives will be achieved in accordance with the agreed to business plans, and as requested by the country manager. The strategy will be to seek solutions for our customers the generate optimal value.Internally managing business team in hisher segment commercially to make sure achieving sales and business targets. Externally managing relationship with customers in that area together with hisher direct reports.Responsibilities• Support and allocate resources required within China; • Participate in projects in the region as required to ensure their complete and quick success.• Hire, develop and manage sales staff based on businesss development requests• Create a solid plan to develop the business for achieving sales and profit targets in the targeted industry;• Provide updated information on the customer and market• Identify new business opportunities and maximize the market shares in China;• Negotiate the sales contracts with customers to the best interest of the company in terms of prices, terms and conditions…etc;• Ensure Account Receivable to be collect on time and minimize company’s exposure to overduebad debts;• Submit required information on a timely basis:Business plansMonthly reportsForecastBudget establishmentPerformance reviewsCall reports• Aid members of the customer facing team in partnership proposal follow-ups and agreements.• Work to create trust with the customer. (relationship building)• Identify the “Key” players and decision makers.• Take the lead on those customers’ projects• The company’s growth will inevitably create significant opportunities to progress for an individual demonstrating outstanding skills and the desire and potential to progress to more senior positions, nationally as well as internationally.ProfileCompetenciesEducation, background, level of experience• Bachelor or master´s degree in metallurgy, materials science, Refractory, foundry or Alu. or other applicable engineering field from major university, an MBA or equivalent is preferable.• Minimum 10 years of sales responsibility in sales and business development experiences in refractory or related industry in China with sound track records;• Strong background in sales background in manufacturing andor production environment; • Value selling, proven negotiation and persuasiveness skills required; • Customer and market orientated, result orientated and professional; • Experience in China and multinational companies particularly from Europe or North America strongly preferred; • Proven capacity to build network of relationships• Experience in high-value industrial products for B2B (refractory experience is a plus, but not compulsory)• Experience in key accountant management, region management and distributors’ management.• Good leadership qualities, with ability to create very good relations to coworkers.
